Ahmednasir is a former Chairman of the Law Society of Kenya and Kenya Anti-Anti Corruption Advisory Board.
He was also a Commissioner, Kenya Law Review Commission.
Involved in numerous precedent setting and land mark court cases that have shaped various legislative and regulatory frameworks across a broad range of legal matters in kenya.
Undertook various consultancies for the World Bank, UN Agencies, State Corporations, NGOs and the Government of Kenya in complex and wide ranging legal matters, and sits on the board of a number of major companies in Kenya.
Participated in the review of the Reinsurance Act, which is set to repeal the current Reinsurance Act and presented their proposals to the Parliamentary Committee on Legal Affairs.
As a Law Reform Commissioner, has undertaken various legislative reviews such as the review of the Law of Contract, Insurance Act, Banking Act, the Companies’ Act and other regulatory legislation.
Lead Counsel for the Ofﬁce of the President in the Waki Commission investigating the 2007/2008 post election violence in Kenya, and hasarbitrated in a Kshs. 10 Billion case, the highest ever in Kenya.
Convenor of the 15th Commonwealth Law Conference held in Nairobi in 2007, the ﬁrst of its kind to be held in Africa.
